It's been so long since i last saw you...I've just realized it's been a long time since my last update.. probably need to catch up on what's been going on.
so the dad/calgary deal has gone down and he is now working for a very good living over there :) that city is just building at a rapid pace.. oil included as we all know. it's a much better situation than when he was in HK.. I only got to see him twice a year before; now i see him every month ^^
i've also developed a guilty pleasure over the last month... and it caught me by surprise. the martha stewart show.. and also her website marthastewart.com. It all started when I was just watching a random episode and the show began it's 30 day cooking school: 30 days each with a lesson in cooking techniques. i have been watching diligently ever since and it is really a very well made show! i remember watching this show way back in the beginning and martha was really unnatural.. but i think she's found her 'morning personality'. the website is also fantastic with lots of videos from the show.. you could really just look at the website and not even pay attention to the show on tv.. it's that great :]
and now for an obsession.... JAMES BLUNT!!! omigoodness he is sooooo great XD
very hypnotizing voice... and piercing gaze.. *sigh* it's time to get some concert tickets.. when he returns to TO :] even my mom likes him.. and it's rare for both of us to ever be obsessed about any star (actually this is the first). and for y'all that knew about my obsession with the csi guy ('warrick') this obsession is much worse.. much much worse... much swooning
and some serious business...
doing cell group leader for church fellowship (canaan) and it's a very good experience but being on top of things and organizing is.. well tough. hopefully im doing a good job.. but i honestly never really know.. umm.. hope at least im being 'competent' :)
and to more seriousness...
i've also signed on as head governor for our softball team (canaan "promiselanders"). Which is a really big deal.. as i'm coordinating both team dynamics/chemistry and the spiritual growth aspect... indeed very scared as form head coach and main founder of the team (andrew.. yes the andrew that you and i know oh so well.. mei!!) is going to be in HK for the season... my head coach (muck yim) gives me a lot of support.. but he's leaving for missions in june.. so i'll feel quite alone... and lost.. donno what'll happen in that month :) haha i dont think i can take up coaching duties for obvious reasons.. im sure that sam and dee wong will probably do that for.. oops.. rambling aside.. i am looking forward to the challenge. it is definitely unchartered territory for me, so i know there's not much i can do by relying on my own.. need to be relying on God's direction for this summer... patience.. and good diplomatic skills.. haha
we'll see what the summer brings :)
